History
The name of the building, Lenderi Aed, is a tribute to architect Voldemar Lender, the mayor of Tallinn a century ago, whose farm used to occupy 32 hectares here back then. Aside from his political activity, Voldemar Lender is also famous for the type of building named after him, Lender House. He used to design such two-storied wooden buildings characteristic of Tallinn in his building office, but he was not the only architect to do that.
The former farm lands have been turned into a nice and peaceful living environment including mainly low buildings surrounded with cosy and well-maintained gardens.
